Google connects Americans to pharmacies for vaccines

As of today, Google offers its users a new option to get information about Covid-19 vaccines. Other Albertsons company pharmacies such as Safeway in the USA can be reached through Google Search Engine and Maps.

Safeway and Albertsons pharmacies will inform the public about vaccines through messages. Albertsons has many pharmacies in the US, including Safeway, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Albertsons, Acme, Shaw’s and Tom Thumb. By pressing the message button on Search and Map applications, you will be able to ask questions and get information from your local pharmacy about vaccine availability, vaccine eligibility and vaccination appointment. Pharmacies will also be able to answer frequently asked questions using business messages, where companies can answer queries using chat bots.

“With Google Business Messages, we can quickly and accurately inform people about where, when and how to get vaccinated,” said Omer Gajial, Executive Vice President, Pharmacy and Health, Albertsons. For our patients, this means delivering information to them quickly. For Albertsons companies, this means liberating our pharmacies to focus on what’s most important – administering the vaccine and caring for patients. ”

Specializing in tools such as Business Messages is a positive step towards better informing the public about vaccines. Regarding the issue, Facebook announced this week that they will help users create Covid-19 vaccine appointments.
